Fun Summer Events in Fort Leonard Wood & Surrounding Areas!

Summer is here in the Ozarks and if you're like us, we're gearing up for a fun-filled summer! There are tons of fun things to do in St.Robert, Mo and the surrounding areas this Summer. Whether you are planning a trip to visit St. Robert, Mo this summer, or you are passing through and a need a hotel in Fort Leonard Wood right off of I-44, we have six great hotel brands to choose from. Read on to learn about some of the fun events happening in Fort Leonard Wood and the surrounding areas.


Pulaski County Farmers Market 

Where: Farmers’ Market Pavilion at Roubidoux Spring Campground, Waynesville

When: 8:00 a.m. until Noon - Every Saturday 

While you are in the area, why not stop in and see what the local farmers have at the Farmers Market. Their mission is providing the area citizens with healthful locally grown foods by connecting the farmer to the consumer. At the Pulaski County Farmers Market you'll find fresh vegetables and fruits in season, fresh cut herbs, naturally raised meats including bison, cage-free eggs, old fashioned soaps, natural bath & body care, handmade laundry soap, jams, honey, candied nuts, crafts and a large variety of baked goods from traditional bread to exotic sweets.


Festival on the Square Freedom Fest 

Where: Downtown Waynesville, Missouri
When: June 22nd - 11am - 4pm 

Freedom Fest is hosted in downtown Waynesville and will be a fun event for the whole family! At Freedom Fest you will find:

  • Inflatables for Kids

Independence Day Celebration 

Where: Shady Dell Park - Richland, Mo
When: July 13th 5pm-10pm 


Bring the family right down the road from St. Robert to the Shady Dell Park in Richland, Mo. Enjoy family time with food and music beginning at  5pm and the best firework show around starts at dark! 

39th Annual old Settlers Days 

Where: Roubidoux Park - Waynesville, Mo
When: July 27 & 28 

Enjoy some old-fashioned fun! They will have craft booths, food, and live music. Enjoy the Kickapoo Trace Muzzleloaders and Civil War encampments. Visit with them in their living history camps. They will feature three battle reenactments this year too.


Buckhorn BlueGrass Festival 

Where: Pulaski County Shrine, 26920 Shrine Rd, Laquey, Mo 


When: August 30th 

This event will feature Three nights of Not your Grandpa's BlueGrass: Featuring 10 bands, 2 and stages. There will be a Boom Chuck Street vendor area near the mainstage.





47th Annual Rail Road Days 

Where: Crocker Community Park
When: August 31st

This is a free family event for all. They will have a parade, bounce house, vendors, live auction-raffles - and so much more! They will also have live music - Jordan Brueschke will be opening the night up followed by Zach Moore then Joshua Allen and The Show Me Saints to Follow!
