CANOEING, KAYAKING, FLOAT TRIPS

Missouri is home to many rivers making it perfect for float trips and exploring. You will truly feel nature on one of the area's rivers. We have the Big Piney and Gasconade River to explore with outfitters ready to assist in your next relaxing float. You can use canoes, kayaks, or rafts for your float trip. If you are an outdoor enthusiast feel free to bring your own equipment or any of our outfitters can assist with rentals, drop off and pick up. Taking in the outdoors and enjoying the water should be on your list of activities when in the area.

CAVE DIVING IN ROUBIDOUX SPRING

Cave diving is an adventure that should be done by an experienced diver. The world famous Roubidoux Spring is known for its cave that is popular among divers. This spring is open to all certified divers and you will need to have experience diving to take advantage of this thrill-seeking adventure. You will need your own gear and you need to present your certification prior to diving. There isn't a cost to dive which makes this a popular cave diving location in Missouri. Even if you aren't diving, take the time to visit this amazing park. It has plenty of fishing, swimming and is part of the historic Trail of Tears.

FISHING

Anglers from all over can enjoy a day fishing in one of our amazing rivers and springs. Many of our locals like to take a canoe or kayak on the river for a laid-back day. If floating down the river isn't your style, you can fish from the banks. This area has some of the finest trout fishing in the Roubidoux Creek at Laughlin Park. Trout fishing is a true art so if fishing is on your list, make sure you have your trout fishing gear when you visit.

Big Piney River is great for catching smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and goggle-eye.

Gasconade River is home to a variety of fish. You can fish for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, goggle-eye, channel catfish, spotted bass, Kentucky bass, flathead catfish, bluegill, redear sunfish, green sunfish, and walleye.

Fishing in the Midwest is some of the best but when you can fish a river with slow-moving water nestled in between bluffs, it doesn't get any more serene than that. Pack a lunch and plan to spend the day.
