Community Spotlight - Waynesville - St. Robert Chamber of Commerce

Fort Wood Hotels is excited to share another Community Spotlight with you this week! We are proud to work with the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce because of all they do for our local economy and community. We are very involved in the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce.  Our managers and line level managers have been a part of the Board of Directors, Ambassadors Club, and on committees.  We support with sponsorships and volunteer hours as well as attend the monthly luncheons to learn all that is going on in our area. The Chamber does a great job with speakers at the monthly luncheons from the cities, Waynesville High School, Fort Leonard Wood, tourism, and many other pertinent organizations briefing on what is new and upcoming.  This chamber is very involved and over 300 members strong. Keep reading to learn more about the many ways the Chamber works for our local communities. 

1.  Tell us about your organization.

The Waynesville - St. Robert Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of citizens who are investing their time and money in a community development program, working together to improve the economic, civic, and cultural well-being of the area. Any citizen who is interested in helping to develop the area (which means more money, more business, more jobs, and better living for everyone) is eligible to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The work of the Chamber is financed by the investment of the members. The Chamber is composed of the Chamber Membership, Executive Board, Board of Directors, Ambassadors, Committee Volunteers, an Executive Director, and Staff.

2.  What is the Mission Statement of your organization?

The mission statement of the Waynesville-St. Robert Area Chamber of Commerce is to be the motivating force in advocating, coordinating, leading, and promoting existing and future business development, economic diversity, and tourism. We shall enhance the quality of life through programs, services, community development, recognition, and pride.

3.  How long how has your organization been serving our community?  

Since 1957.

4.  How can our community help serve your mission?

Chamber Volunteer opportunities to help in the office, at events, join the Governmental & Military Affairs Committee, Ambassadors Club member, or apply for the Chamber Board of Directors.  Members have opportunities to sponsor our programs and events.

5.  Do you have any events you’d like to promote in 2022?

September

30th – Community Pride Night (Waynesville High School Homecoming Football Game 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm)


October

15th – Route 66 Challenge (8 am – 3 pm)


November

11th – Veterans’ Day Ceremony & Parade (Waynesville at 11 am)

26th – Shop Small Business Saturday


December

1st -15th – Shop Local in PJ’s Online Auction

8th – 26th – Light Up Pulaski County
