3 Route 66 Inspired Events this Summer and Fall in the Fort Leonard Wood Area

Route 66 is a nostalgic and celebrated stretch of highway nestled in the beautiful Ozarks that brings visitors from around the state, nation and world! Route 66 Yard Sale - August 5-6, 2022

Imagine 2 fun-filled days of treasure hunting over 100 miles along historic Route 66! It is a great opportunity to discover some great finds, meet friendly people and explore the roadway that “attracts 100’s of thousands of tourists from all over the world.”

-Pulaski County Farmer’s Market – 225 Historic Route 66 E, Waynesville, MO – Confirmed 2022

-Buckhorn Swap Meet – Buckhorn exit overpass – South Hwy 17, Waynesville, MO

-Buckhorn Baptist Church-26195 South Hwy 17, Waynesville, MO

Route 66 Hogs & Frogs Festival - September 23-25, 2022

This Festival centers around Waynesville Missouri’s Premier Motorcycle Show. New attractions are still being added, but so far here is the tentative schedule they have posted. 

Friday 9/23

11am-5pm – Kid’s Day

5pm-7pm – Pin Up Girl Contest

7pm-8:30pm – Stand Up Comedy

Saturday 9/24

8am-10am - Motorcycle Show Registration

10am-3pm – Pork BBQ Cooking Contest

5pm-7pm – Beard and Exotic Hair Contest

7pm-10pm – Live Music Concert

Sunday 9/25

TBA – Sunday Service

10am-1pm – Frog Leg Cooking Contest

11am-2pm – Power Wheels Drag Racing

2:30pm – Awards Ceremony

Route 66 Challenge in Saint Robert, MO - October 15, 2022

The Route 66 Challenge is a road game, not a race, in which the 33 miles of original Route 66 in Pulaski County is the actual game board. Participants compete at solving the clues they receive in their official “Adventure Envelope.” The clues lead competitors to different locations and tasks for points. It is a game of strategy that includes mini-detours that can give you an extra edge or work against you. The prize for the winning team is $150 PLUS $150 for a selected charity.
