Elvis - Story of a King is Coming HERE August 20th, 2022!

Normally, Matthew performs this show at the Americana Theatre in Branson, MO but on August 20th, he is bringing the full Branson show here on wheels and will be performing as Elvis at the very first event at the new Rendezvous Event Center in St. Robert, MO. This incredible show features Elvis’ career from the 50’s all the way through the 70s. Matthew recently was interviewed on the podcast Fort Not Lost in the Woods where he shared more about himself and his inspiration for the show. The Back Story
As a kid, Matthew spent a lot of time with his grandma and aunt when his parents were working. That is where he developed his love for all things Elvis. His grandma had all the Elvis memorabilia and they were always listening to his music, watching his movies, etc. Then he had the chance to see an Elvis impersonator at 6 flags when he was a kid and that is when he realized that impersonating Elvis and being an entertainer was something he wanted to do. So, at age 7 he had his first jumpsuit made and began performing in talent contests. He has been doing ever since … for 15 years now.
The Branson Show
Matthew is a multi-award winning tribute artist who performs his Elvis tribute, Story of the King, 3 days a week (Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) in Branson at the Americana Theatre. He describes it as a retrograde show of Elvis’ full career. Essentially, it tells about Elvis’ life story throughout his full career starting with his roots in gospel music, his career in the 50s, his TV performances, his army career, his movies and 1968 come back. Then it covers his Vegas residency and closes by recreating Elvis’ Aloha from Hawaii. The entire show is narrated through the lens of Elvis’ mother looking down on all his achievements. Matthew describes the show as being like a history book and emphasizes that it is historically accurate from microphones to the costumes. Normally, your would have to go to Branson to see this show so it is an amazing opportunity to be able to see this caliber of show right here in St. Robert!
