Music Festival Details for the 9/11 Patriots Day Festival
Fort Wood Hotels is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming 9/11 Patriots Festival. The morning of the festival will be dedicated to honoring the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 event. Fun events that are intended to bring together patriotism and fellowship will take place throughout the day! Starting at 5:00 PM, there will be great live music from local Missouri country music artists. Read on to learn more about the three bands that will play for the 9/11 Patriots Festival.

We are on a mission to bring service members & families stationed at Fort Leonard Wood together with the surrounding community to provide an event focused around patriotism, music, fellowship, community, and education centered around the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 event.

Scooter Brown Band
After more than four years, two tours overseas with one tour of combat in Iraq as a United States Marine, Scooter Brown traded his guns in for guitars and hit the road.
Scooter Brown Band was formed and began playing mainly in and around Houston, Texas. They have toured North America and opened for some of their biggest influences including Charlie Daniels Band, Travis Tritt, Dwight Yoakam, Lee Roy Parnell and the Marshall Tucker Band, just to name a few. Two members having served in the military, they dedicate significant time doing work for Veteran Support Organizations like Base Camp 40 - Warriors in the Wild, Lone Survivor Foundation, and the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.
For the last few years the band has been building a new era in their career. Defined as modern southern rock, the band released American Son in late 2017 and was named in Artists to Watch by Rolling Stone. Spotify supported the title track of the album on playlists “Country Rocks,” “Southern Rock 101” and “Texas Music Now.” Brown was featured as a finalist on USA Network’s “Real Country” in 2018 and was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year at the Third Annual Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards presented by iHeartRadio.
Chuck Briseno
Chuck Briseno is an Independent Country Recording Artist hailing from George West, Texas. He comes from a small town full of trouble, success, hardwork, and love. Raised by his grandparents, at age 12, he grandfather gave him a guitar and the rest is history. Influenced by artists such as Mike McClure, Dean Dillon, Ramon Ayala, Aaron Lewis, etc. he began writing poetry and songs about every day life. "One of my favorite things about performing is telling the stories!""Put life into music and music comes to life."
Chuck served in the military after high school for 12 years, travelling all over the world, as well as deploying to Afghanistan as a paratrooper with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in 2007.
Chuck's debut solo album release "Texas & You" released May 2018, featuring their first music video "Bar Girl", showed some success for the band. Their sophomore album "You Should Be Mine" released December 2019. This album featured their second music video "Stronger Than the Whiskey".
He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and Norwich University with a bachelors and master's degree in Civil Engineering. He currently resides in Springfield, Missouri touring nationwide.
